The Modulette is an external PC Card ( PCMCIA ) holder, with a standard serial interface, which enables a Type II PC Card modem or GSM data card to connect to any desktop, laptop or PowerBook computer (with or without a PC Card slot). The Modulette needs no special software, just a serial port and standard fax or communication software, and is compatible with most fax/modem and GSM data cards.
